What Do We Offer?

Gallery 37 in Birmingham was founded in 1998, based on a model of creative arts training pioneered in Birmingham’s sister city Chicago.

Every summer, for nearly a decade, Gallery 37 has been delivering a high-profile, city centre based programme of training in visual, applied and performing arts. Collaborating with many of the city’s major arts organisations, Gallery 37 employs professional artists to work with young people, many of whom have never been to an arts venue or event before.

In 2006 Gallery 37 Plus was launched, taking the Birmingham model to five other cities throughout the UK. With each region having very different needs and challenges, Gallery 37 Plus has worked hard to maintain the ethos of the programme whilst building in the flexibility to cater effectively for their community.

It is the aim of Gallery 37 to provide creative learning for young people with the least opportunity and to support artists who wish to engage with communities. This is achieved through a number of innovative programmes:
