The Signposting project was supported by an Arts & Business new partners project with Atkins Global and focused on the development of a range of signs and pointers down to the Eastside area from the traditional shopping area of Birmingham City Centre.

The Drama and Dance project was focused around Roy Williams’ play, Sing Yer Heart Out For The Lads, set in a pub on the night England played Germany in the world cup in 2000.

Creatively, the Drama and Dance project sought to explore how the beautiful game could be brought to life in performance through physical theatre and dance. Thematically, this project explored themes such as race, identity and how racism can both manifest itself in football and be challenged through football.

Apprentices participating in this project explored visual arts and graffiti, and transferred these skills to decorating skateboards, to help create signage for the main hospital directing people to the playground.

Beginning in summer 2005 with workshops in Stratford, this project involved a group from Gallery 37 and the Nos Do Morrow theatre group from Brazil. The project focused on the two groups interpretation of Shakespeare’s Two Gentlemen of Verona with the final production forming part of the complete works of Shakespeare festival in Stratford in 2006
